There is no “woke movement.” Just the new way to say “n@gg*r.”

It’s so insulting. Egregiously so. I grew up in a sundown town. The pejorative use of a word that has solely to do with having to be aware at all times that you might not arrive home alive if you don’t pay attention is grotesque.

I’m 63. It was less than 30 years ago that med schools taught students that Black people had more tolerance for pain. I’m just trying to be treated as though I deserve to live if I need to be treated in an ER.

I’m jewish as well as Black.

I don’t accept the pejorative definition of woke. It’s only purpose is to erase and rewrite history with White people as the victim.
